Lisa Buchauer
PI
Lisa is W2-professor of Systems Biology of Infectious Diseases at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Intensive Care at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Previously, she worked as a computational biologist and project team leader at a pharmatech start-up in Tel Aviv, where she developed computational methods and software for single-cell omics data integration. Before that, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Systems Biology at Weizmann Institute of Science where she used mathematical models to study organization principles of tissues. During her PhD at the German Cancer Research Center, she built data-driven computer simulations of the B cell immune response to vaccination. Lisa has a background in experimental physics, loves to engineer creative solutions and look at data from new perspective.
